Remembering Michael Jackson

It's been more than a week since Michael Jackson's death and the press is still bubbling with new sources, memorial shows, and details. Michael was undoubtedly an international superstar and pop icon; however, as of recent his popularity and reputation have faced great ridicule. How do you think Michael Jackson should be remembered? And could it be true!?! Is this a matter Sean and Sam actually agree on?

Sean:

It's depressing that Michael died, don't get me wrong. But where in the hell is all of this "King of Pop" love coming from all of a sudden? South Park pumped out a classic episode where MJ's pedophile status is shown -- a hilarious 30 minutes if you get the time. These horrific things were all anyone ever associated him with: acting like a terrible father, touching kids inappropriately, a plastic surgery guru and being downright not all there. Now that's all out the window and he's a pop sensation? I have nothing against him, but I honestly don't understand where this is all coming from. It boggles my mind.

Sam:

I formed my thoughts on MJ after he dangled his child over a balcony, allegedly molested children and destroyed his appearances with countless cosmetic surgeries. Unlike many, I will not forget those things just because he has passed away.

Michael Jackson: King of Pop. Wait. Didn't he name himself that? Didn't everyone scoff at that self-title? It's becomming very obvious that all it takes is a person dying to get everyone to love them. I respect what Michael did early in his career, but I refuse to act like he was a hero now that he has died.
