Happy Weekend!

Happy weekend all! Summer is winding down but that hasn't stopped Sean and Sam from go-go-going. In fact, for the troublesome twosome summer is just kicking into full gear. What are you up to this weekend?

Sean's Weekend (in Sam's words):

Yesterday evening I commenced my All American Road Trip! After saying my goodbyes in the Oklahoman newsroom I hunkered down in my HHR for the 9+ hour drive to Florence Alabama. The road trip was pretty flawless with the HHR getting great gas millage and no traffic. I did have one traumatic rest stop fiasco at an Arkansas gas station, complete with millions of tiny green flies attacking me and my car. But, I survived, thank god. This weekend Kevin, Todd and I will be golfing at a Florence country club, hitting up the bars, and getting rowdy. I've also been keeping a video diary of the adventures so stay tuned for those!

Sam's Weekend:

This weekend may be a quiet one for me (ha, what's new?). I had an absolutely exhausting week, while working mornings at the TV station. I would arrive at work at 4AM and then spend the next 5 hours preparing the show, complete with 4 weather casts every hour. Then I went back to work in the afternoon from 2-7. That's a lot of the TV station! This weekend I'll be running around town with my parents measuring our new TV and then visiting the new apartment to make sure it'll fit. It's been discussed that we go check out Bronco's training camp as well. Maybe say hi to out neighbor Champ Bailey, ha. Then, tomorrow we're going hiking up Devils Head in Castle Rock, CO. I'll most definitely take pictures and post them soon!

Hotties

We know, there's those select celebs that when you see them your heart skips a beat. You've got your picks and we've got ours. Tell us who you're currently crushing on!

Sean's Picks (or Sam's guesses as to who Sean drools over):

Elizabeth Banks
If I could whistle right now I would. Ooolala! Besides being incredibly gorgeous with that great smile, wavy blond hair, and bangin' bod-- E. Banks is hysterical. And we all know that a great sence of humor is something I love in a lady. She's a crack up in Zach and Miri Make a Prono, great in Role Models and of course essential in that movie I maybe love, Definitely Maybe. Elizabeth Banks already has a great portfolio and I can only imagine what great new movies she has up her sleeve.

Megan Fox
Like every other guy on the planet, I would currently like to go steady with Megan Fox. She doesn't have to be a good actress (although, she does pretty well in Transformers), she doesn't need to be nice (it's been said she's a bit of a bioch in real life) and she doesn't have to be single (who knows and who cares!?!). She is the center of the hottie world right now and with those looks I don't think anyone will be stealing her title any time soon.

Sam's Picks:

Emile Hirsch:
If I could find/get a boy who looks like Emile Hirsch I could die a happy girl. Forget the personality, the ambition, the intellect, if he is as dreamy as this kid-- I'm in. He's definitely not the typical heart throb but then again I've never gone for the blond-hair-blue-eyed-big-muscles type. The rolls Emile plays also makes me fall in love with him a little more. Lords of Dogtown, The Emperors Club, and of course my favorite Into The Wild. He never fails to get great no b/s parts.

Shia Labeouf:
Well, if Sean and I could just have the cast of Transformers we'd be happy kids! I've had a crush on Shia ever since Even Stevens days and the infatuation hasn't dissipated as I get into my 20's. He's kind of a goof, but a great actor and a bit dramatically tragic. If you read interviews with him he's hilarious in a dry way but also deep. The ingredients of any good hottie! I'm even a fan of that awful new Indiana Jones just because Mr. LaBeouf makes an appearance.

CSI Gab

CSI is undoubtedly one of the most popular TV shows on television, with no less than three series to satisfy your murder mystery cravings. If Las Vegas isn't for you--try Miami. If you can't take the heat in Miami--check out New York. Jerry Bruckheimer has definitely found his niche in prime-time television with Crime Scene Investigation. Check out what Sam...and, well Sam have to say about it.

Sean (or what Sam thinks he would say):

I have a crush on CSI Miami. One episode and I'm like a fat kid on cake. I can't quit it. Horatio Cane is a great character and has the hard-ass attitude to make any criminal crack under pressure. It's a show where you can watch just one episode and not be lost, or watch in marathon form (my personal favorite) and be hooked with it's underlying continuous plots. Go CSI sir!

Sam:

I'm so over it. There is such thing as too much of a good thing! It may be the fact that my mother also has a crush on all of the CSI's and makes the family watch every episode. However, I just don't think murder mysteries are my thing. To me the show seems very repetitive. It's like a game of Clue-- you may switch things up each time, but in the end it's just the same ol' game of Clue.

Save The Date

Well friends the date is set, the itinerary is in affect and the excitement is building. Sean is making a guest appearance in Colorado August 13 & 14. The two will finally get to reek havoc on the streets of Denver and Boulder after almost a year of separation.

Until then, Sean will be touring the county with pals Joey and Will and Sam will be left to manage the blog solo. What in the world will ensue when that girl is left to her own devices?

Gotta See It

We've all experienced it. You see a trailer or a preview on TV, fall in love with the movie, and then-- boom, it's scheduled to release a year from now. Sean and Sam talk about movies that they are patiently (or not so patiently) waiting to see.

Sean (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen)

I'm a Shia LaBeouf fan. I think he did an awesome job with the original Transformers as well as Disturbia and Eagle Eye. And with Megan Fox (obviously) on cast again, I can't miss it. She may be the sexiest woman in the world. Plus, I was a Transformers fans as a kid, bashing the action figures' heads against one another until Optimus Prime was victorious. Living in Edmond, I haven't had a ton of reason to go to the theater. I've seen The Hangover (twice) and The Proposal, but never made it around to see robots destroy the world. I need to get to it, too, before they yank it out of theaters, because it won't be the same on a home theater. And I can't tell if LaBeouf being Robin in the upcoming Batman movie will be good or not. But, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, for now.

Sam (Where The Wild Things Are)

I cannot wait to see Where The Wild Things Are! One of the greatest children’s books of all time will finally be on screen! Last night, while at Harry Potter the WTWTA trailer premiered-- and let me tell you I was very excited. First of all, within three seconds I knew what the movies was, the creatures look exactly like they do in the book and even better they are not computer generated but actual costumes. Furthermore, it’s directed by Spike Jonze so it’s guaranteed to have a great soundtrack! The movie comes out in October and you can guarantee I’ll be first in line to see it. After all, if it has trailer that can make you tear up, it’s got to be a great movie.
