Sean:
The Fourth of July without friends and family is not the end of the world, but it sure does change things when they're around for America's birthday. This year, JB is my saving grace -- visiting me in my secluded Oklahoma City home where I only know people I met a month ago. On Saturday (the 4th), we're pregaming at the apartment before heading to Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill in the heart of Bricktown. After live TK music, we're off to Bricktown Ballpark to watch the Redhawks (AAA baseball) host Omaha. After a fireworks display, we're heading to the casino for the roulette tables to more than likely lose a couple hundred dollars. But it'll be completely worth it. I've seen a completely different side of OKC with him here. Sun, beer, baseball, gambling, trashy clubs and Sonic restaurants with the kid you've grown up with since you were 5. Honestly, what else do you need in life? Answer: nothing.Sam:
My Fourth of July will prove to be less eventful then Independence Day's past (P.S has the phrase Independence Day been ruined for anyone else by that awful Martina McBride song?). My roommates, aka parents, are not around this weekend. So, I will flying solo to the Glendale fireworks, hosting a BBQ for one person and possibly browsing the Cherry Creek art festival alone. Not to worry though, I am enjoying a little alone time; the upcoming weeks/months will be more than eventful with Bridget and Kristina coming to visit, so the downtime is great. Traverse, Bode and I will certainly enjoy ourselves this holiday weekend!**And Sean the answer should be SammyP, duh!
